Johnny began as an improv jam between Shaun Blanch and Luke Gefell, and was inspired by a true story.

Johnny ran away from home to NYC and lived on the streets/in a homeless shelter prior to finding refuge with the covenant house.

The artwork of johnny symbolizes a person who stands out amongst a world that is otherwise black and white. the white bars represent a prison in which johnny feels trapped. the below image is the original design, prior to the final completed image (shown above).
